Welcome to the Web Site of the Central Hudson Valley Football Officials Association, Inc (CHVFOA).
Our organization is a member of the New York State Association of Certified Football Officials. Our mission is to promote football within our region and to provide certified football officials for high schools in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam (partial), Rockland, Sullivan, and Ulster counties within New York State. Our territory includes all of Section IX and part of Section I.
If you have any information that you would like added to the website (documents, links, etc) or if you have questions about the chapter, web site, etc, please send them to the Web Site Administrator using the contact us form to the right. Meetings
Dates for the 2012 Interpretation Meeting are Thursday August 2nd and Tuesday August 14th. The Part II NFHS exam is scheduled for Tuesday August 21st at NYMA. All meetings begin at 7:00pm.
Chapter and Web Site News
January 30, 2012 - Tenative information on the New Candidates Exam on our Facebook Page. More details in March.
January 13, 2012 - Updated the Chapter Constitution, By-Laws, and Code of Conduct documents (August 2011 changes included).
January 12, 2012 - Archived the 2011 Chapter and Site News.
January 7, 2012 - Added the Section IX ratings to the Documents - 2011 Section.. Crew comments from Section IX coaches and individual comments from Section I coaches will be distributed by Dennis Geisler.
January 2, 2012 - Happy 2012! The Executive Board Member page has been updated.
Prospective Officials
The 2011 Rules Clinic is complete with 22 candidates passing the rules examination at the end. Congratulations to all new members! Thanks to Todd Boyd for handling the test so that I could attend my son's re-scheduled Spring Concert.
If you are interested in becoming a football official, the next rule sessions will be held in the Spring of 2012, starting in Mid-May and running through Mid-June. Check back in early 2012 as information will be posted here and on Facebook.
